Term 3, Week 5

From the Principal

I want to thank everyone for their participation in what was a remarkable Book Week! The enthusiasm and participation that I’ve witnessed over the past few days have been fantastic.

Special thanks to you as parents for the effort you all went to for the book week costumes! I know that our kids may not always be able to verbalise their thankfulness, but I know they greatly appreciate it. The effort and thought that went into each outfit were evident, and I commend you all for embracing the wonder   of literature in such a spirited way.

One of the most beautiful aspects of this Book Week was the way our community came together. In the midst of your various characters and stories, there was a common thread of unity and camaraderie that bound us together. This showcases the strength of our Christian values and the sense of belonging that we share as a close-knit community.

It was also great to be able to host our author and our students really appreciated the wisdom that she brought and the way she went through the process of writing a book. My sincere thanks to the parents who attended the parent workshop that we hosted. From all accounts, it was very informative, I’ve asked for the slides to be made available to all of the parent community. My thanks also to the parents who came in and read to our students, I know they appreciated this opportunity.

I wanted to also thank our librarian Mrs Auckett for all of her organisation and hard work in creating a whole range of different experiences for our kids this week. It was greatly appreciated.

As we wrap up this Book Week, let’s carry the spirit of curiosity and exploration that we’ve celebrated into our daily lives. Let’s continue to find joy in reading, learning, and growing together as a community. Thank you once again for your participation and enthusiasm. I am truly proud to be part of this incredible school family.

My door is always open.

Kindergarten celebrated 100 Days of school!

Last week Kindergarten celebrated 100 Days of school! Each student chose a job or a career that they are enthusiastic about and dressed up as their chosen profession! From teachers, to nurses, to astronauts (and even a few pastors!) students engaged in a range of activities that related to the number 100 including a scavenger hunt around the school! We are so blessed by these amazing young minds at HPCS. We can’t wait to see what they grow up to be and the plans God has for them. Thank you to Mrs Stevens and Miss Lord for all your enthusiasm.

Father’s Day Stall!

Friday 1 September, following chapel.

If your child would like to buy a gift, please send them to school next Friday with money in a snap lock bag, clearly labeled with your child’s name on the front.
They will need to leave it in their school bag until they are allowed to shop at the stall.
