For over 40 years, HopePoint has partnered with parents for Christian education.

For nearly 50 years, HopePoint Christian School has partnered with parents who desire an education for their children that is grounded in Christian principles and shaped by an atmosphere of love, care, and encouragement.

The school began in 1980 with fewer than 15 students, established through the vision of the pastors of Calvary Chapel Greenacre. Within a decade, both the school and the associated preschool had grown significantly, outgrowing the shared Waterloo Road facilities. A new property was purchased with a clear purpose: to support the expansion of the school, to provide long-term stability, and to create a place where the church, school, and preschool could grow together.

In 1990, the school moved to its present location in Georges Hall. The new site, featuring the heritage-listed “Homestead” and more than two hectares of beautiful, shaded grounds, provided ample space for learning, play, and future development.

At that time, classes were housed in a single modified building. Over the years, additional classrooms and a gymnasium were constructed, enabling the school to expand and meet the needs of a growing community. Today, our school has over 250 students, reflecting strong growth and ongoing trust from families.

For many years, the preschool and the primary school operated independently. Today, they work together closely as part of the same HopePoint community, ensuring a smooth and consistent educational journey for families from early learning through to Year 6.

In 2012, the school adopted the name HopePoint Christian School, changing from Calvary Chapel Christian School. The mission is still the same as it was when the school was founded: to provide excellent education through which students and their families would know the hope found in a genuine relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
