From the Principal
I had the privilege of accompanying our Years 4-6 to camp this week! We had a wonderful adventure, full of fun, learning, friendship and growth.
The camp, set amidst the natural beauty of Wedderburn Christian Campsite near Campbelltown, provided our students with a unique opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and into the world of adventure. Activities such as archery, rock climbing, flying foxes, and giant swings challenged them physically and mentally. It was heartwarming to witness their determination, courage, and resilience as they took on these thrilling challenges.
What stood out most during this camp, however, was the time they spent growing in their independence and spiritually. In small groups, I had the pleasure of seeing our students come together to pray for one another, offering support and encouragement. They also engaged in times of worship. It was great to also see how they navigated new environments and did so with a positive attitude. I was also particularly proud of how they supported each other, respected each others personal space and were thoughtful in their interactions. And of course shared some lollies as well!
The feedback we received from the camp organisers made me extremely proud. They noted that compared to other schools, our students stood out in several key ways:
- Exceptional Manners and Kind Speech: Our students consistently used great manners and spoke kindly to one another and to the camp staff, reflecting the values we hold dear. The owner even commented that it was the first camp he had done in a while that he hadn’t heard a swear word!
- Our students not only got along well but also actively supported each other during camp activities.
- The camp instructors were impressed by our students’ excellent eye contact and their natural inclination to express gratitude without being prompted.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated team of teachers; Miss Lunardi, Mr Kelly, Mrs Schofield, Ps Ethan and Mr Mattos; who accompanied our students on this camp. They sacrificed time away from their families to ensure that our children had a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience. Their commitment to our students’ growth and wellbeing is commendable.
We are compiling some photos together at the moment and will endeavor to have these to you in the coming week.
Best wishes:
To Mrs Schofield who is on two weeks of very well earned long service leave, after 10 years of faithful service. We pray you would have a great time. Mrs Mccoy will be covering Year 6 during this time.
My door is always open.

Fundraising with OZ Labels!
We are still passionate about our partnering with Lendy Park Christian school in Zimbabwe. The school faces many difficulties, but the main challenge is still the economic situation and that children can’t go to school unless they can pay and this means many families are not able to send their children.
We are continuing with our fundraiser in Term 3 and 4 to help send a child to school, who wouldn’t be able to go without our assistance.
We are using OZ Labels for our fundraising. OZ Labels designs and creates name stickers for children and adults. These stickers can be used to label books, clothing, pencils, bottles, lunchboxes and so much more. They offer a variety of packages to choose from.
